The Eyes Have It

It was school picture day. I was in 8th grade at a new school. I was determined to have a professional looking photo for the yearbook. I decided to do my eyes. That is, put on eyeliner. I had never worn eyeliner. I chose black. No mascara, nothing else. I hadn’t even practiced. My eyes are blue and I’m fair complexioned. What could go wrong? I would definitely look more grown up, that’s for sure. Which was what I was after.
