Stripe Of A Lifetime

I’ve never been a particularly patriotic individual, although I like a good stripe every now and then. I’m talking about wearing them, not displaying them. I do display them on the fourth of July, maybe Labor Day, mostly for the festiveness of it all more than anything. I’ll usually hang some antiquey looking banners across the front porch railing of our Victorian house or a stars and stripes windsock at the end of the porch on a plant hook.
