Sleep Like I’m Dead

I have trouble sleeping. It’s been this way for a while.

I miss deep sleep. The kind of sleep you had as a child.

Sleep like a baby. That’s what I want. Deep sleep. The sleep of the dead. To be dead asleep.

Occasionally, I get it. Sleep, that is. Unfortunately, it’s when I’ve had a few too many drinks and pass out. Is that the same thing? I think not. As, I usually don’t feel…
