Everything…And The Kitchen Sink

I like a clean, kitchen sink. It gives me great satisfaction. Even if it’s the only thing I clean that day.

I have a love/hate relationship to cleaning. This is chronicled in my soon-to-be-released memoir titled, Nettoyer En Petit Lots — which translates to Small Batch Cleaning. It’s a story about cleaning with a French twist. Look for it at your independent book store — or on Amazon as a self published tome, if I have to, as I also have a love/hate (mostly “hate”) relationship with the latter outlet.

Cleaning my kitchen sink, though, like I said, gives me great fulfillment. We have a white, porcelain sink which tends to show every scratch, black streaks from iron-clad ware and the like, not to mention the moldy, mildewy substance that accumulates on the right side (it’s a double sink, in case you were curious) where we drain dishes and bits of food tend to accumulate over the days.

Cleaning my kitchen sink makes my whole kitchen/dining area feel spotless-or at least much cleaner than before. It’s an open plan kitchen/dining area that used to be separated by a wall which we opened it up ten years or so ago. It’s where we spend most of our time, and it was the best decision we ever made when it comes to home remodeling projects. There have been many.
